THE M & D AND EAST KENT BUS CLUB

Welcome to our web site which gives details about the Club

The Club caters for all those interested in the vehicles and general operations of Arriva Kent & Sussex, Stagecoach East Kent and Hastings and District, and their predecessors. We also cover all smaller operators within the area, and the history of the former municipal operators in Maidstone. The principal facility of the Club is a monthly News-Sheet packed with up-to-date information and illustrated regularly. In addition we publish a number of books connected to the bus scene in the Club's area. Check out the publications page for details.

2002 was the Club's Jubilee year and to commemorate this a number of events were held. A selection of photos taken on the jubilee club tour around Kent feature on the tours page on this site. In addition a number of articles on the Club's history were published in the monthly news sheets and these are reproduced on the history page.

All photographs on this site are taken by Ken Lansdowne unless otherwise noted.

In connection with a meeting at Heather House in November 2002, East Kent's Jubilee liveried 296 was used on a service from Maidstone Town Centre and displays an appropriate blind display

The following pages cover the various activities of the Club and details of our publications.
