The Club publishes a number of books of interest to the enthusiast, covering different aspects of the Clubs coverage.

Containing full details of all vehicles known to have been owned by Maidstone Corporation, Maidstone Borough Council and Boro'line Maidstone from 1904 to 1992, including subsequent disposals, demonstrators, domestic fleet, notes about liveries, premises, and 128 illustrations (32 of them in colour), presented in a laminated card cover with ten further illustrations in colour.

A general history of Chatham & District, with particular focus on the contemporary social scene and staff reminiscences.  Generously-illustrated.  £1 from each sale passes to the Mayor of Medway’s nominated charity.

 

INVICTA : Our monthly news booklet Invicta is the official organ of all Club activities, and contains up-to-the-minute reports of developments in Kent and the Hastings & Rother area of East Sussex as they occur.  Invicta is available only to members upon payment of an annual subscription; for 2008 this is £16.50, back-dated to January.  An application form (Circular No: C.61) is sent with replies to all membership enrolment enquiries.  News-Sheets/Invicta for some earlier years can be ordered as Back Number Sets - please see above.

POSTCARD-SIZE PHOTOGRAPHS : Black-and-white and colour prints are available showing subjects dating from the early 1900s to the present day of East Kent, Hastings & District, Arriva Kent & Sussex, Arriva Medway Towns, the municipal fleets of Maidstone, and their predecessors.  These are priced at 46p for black-and-white or 35p for colour (January 2006 - subject to revision).  "Sale or return" approval selections are also available.  If you wish to receive such a selection, please write on a separate sheet of paper the specific type(s) and/or period(s) of vehicles in which you are interested.  Unwanted views from the selection which will be sent should be returned to us within one month, together with payment for those retained and their outward postage.  You need send no advance payment.  Approval sets can also be made up to include stock items of official photographs (including those listed in Circulars No: C.73 and C.74).

DESTINATION BLINDS : We stock a representative selection of destination blinds from East Kent and Maidstone & District. Circular No: C.51 gives full details.

GOMM BADGES, CORGI, LLEDO AND EFE MODEL BUSES : The Club stocks a range of Gomm badges, emblems and tiepins and a selection of Corgi, Lledo and EFE model buses. These are sold on our sales-stand at rallies, public events and some local meetings, but are not offered by post for practical reasons.

CREDIT ACCOUNT SCHEME : The Club operates a scheme under which members can deposit a sum of money with the Club for the automatic supply of Invicta, publications and other facilities.  Specific instructions (standing orders) can be organised for the immediate supply of any specified publications as they are published; account holders may also order goods by e-mail.  The Credit Account scheme has advantages both for our administrative team and for members; Circular No: C.31 gives full details.

TIMETABLE LIBRARY : Club members are entitled to borrow timetable and faretable booklets from the 1910s to date, as stocked, from the Club Library, subject to some basic conditions of loan which are outlined in Circular No: C.81.  The Library also stocks out-of-print Club News-Sheets. A full list of Library stock is given in Circular No: C.82.  Applications from non‑members to use the Library will be considered sympathetically if genuine research is involved.

LEAFLETS SCHEME : A mailing scheme is available to members for timetable leaflets and booklets of Arriva Kent & Sussex, Arriva Medway Towns, East Kent, Hastings & District, Kent County Council and East Sussex County Council [Hastings and Rother area].  Details are given in Invicta when vacancies occur in this scheme.
